Leadership Committee of Red River Soccer Club

Red River Soccer Club (RRSC) was started by soccer professionals looking to bring the best soccer experience to the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo area for players, parents, coaches, and referees. We believe in creating a quality environment to support player development and growth within the soccer community. The RRSC leadership committee will be involved in all aspects of the club; Club executives, soccer operations, coaching, etc.

Mike Wolfer

Technical Director

Bio:

  • Grew up playing recreational soccer in Bismarck Soccer League as a youth
  • Played varsity high school at Century High School under coach Haddis Hailu
  • Began coaching career in Bismarck in 1997 coaching recreational teams for Bismarck Soccer League
  • In 1999, began coaching competitive travel teams for Capital City Soccer club
  • Coach at Century High School in Bismarck, ND for 8 years, coaching JV and Varsity athletes. Played a key role in building the program to a multi-state ND championship level.
  • Coached Varsity Soccer at Mandan High School in Mandan, ND for 4 years and helped develop athletes to conference and state level achievements.
  • Former board member of Indoor Soccer Association in Bismarck from 2001-2007, coaching numerous futsal teams and helping with winter youth programs. Mike is also a former tournament director of the long running Frosty Cup.
  • Former coach and board member of Nodak Soccer Club in Bismarck, ND from 2001-2007, helping facilitate Nodak's merger with Capital City Soccer Club to become Dakota United Soccer Club.
  • Part of the interim DOC committee and long-time coach at Dakota United SC, coaching U15 boys at Midwest Regionals for USYS in 2009 and coaching U15 boys in USYS Midwest Regional League in 2013.
  • Helped launch Mandan Soccer Club's Competitive Program in 2013, serving as their Technical Director, working in that role until 2016.
  • Assisted in the creation of Magic Soccer FC (Bismarck) in 2016, the top competitive club in Western ND currently, coaching various competitive teams and age groups.
  • Was named the Select Director at Tri-City Storm SC (FMWF) in December of 2016, working in that role through 2020, helping to grow player numbers in the Competitive program each season. Mike was the TC Storm U19 boys coach in 2019 when that team won the USYS President's Cup Regional Tournament in Kansas City.
  • March 2021, helped to re-form Red River Soccer Club and currently serves as their Director of Coaching
  • Coached U23 Men in the Frontier Premier League in 2021
  • With 20+ years coaching soccer, Mike has a well rounded soccer education and set of experiences, learning from some of the best mentors in this region and coaching at all levels from 2 yrs old up to 30 years of age.

Chris Andreasen

Bio:

  • Started playing soccer as a youth in Alberta, Canada
  • Played competitive club soccer with Moorhead Soccer Club
  • Competed on Moorhead High School's varsity soccer team
  • Former assistant for Fargo South boys varsity
  • Worked with multiple teams as an age group coordinator for Tri City Storm SC

John Ross

Bio:

  • Womens' Assistant at Minnesota State University Moorhead (1 year)
  • Head Coach at Northern Illinois University (6 years)
    • Became the 2nd winningest coach in program history
    • Lead the 2017 team to a Mid-American Conference Final
  • Spent 9 years in the soccer program at North Dakota State University
    • In 2010, John was a part of the team that won the Summit League Title & appeared in the NCAA Tournament
  • While at NDSU, John helped promote the game of soccer in the community through Red River Soccer Club & North Dakota Soccer Association in their Olympic Development Program
  • Coached at the professional level for Chicago Fire Reserve (PDL), Chicago Sockers (PDL) & Chicago Cobras (W League)
    • Two National Championships with Chicago Sockers & Chicago Cobras
  • As a player, John created opportunities in the professional game most notably with Colorado Foxes of the APSL.
